It may not be the history or culture cache SXSW or Festival of the Austin Film, but in its fourth year, the Festival du film Lone Star in Fort Worth has shown signs of growth.
Festival five days this year was highlighted by the presence of t Bone Burnett, his collaborator "Crazy Heart" Jeff Bridges and Director Peter Bogdanovich.As part of the festivities, bridges organized a presentation of "The Big Lebowski" and joins Bogdanovich for Q & A with a screening of Director classic "The Last Picture Show."
Written IndieWire Festival features "an eclectic program welcomed (the festival opened with the rightly famous"Marwencol"by Jeff Malmberg and closed with a secret projection of a recent first Toronto featuring dramatic turn a comic actor)"and a good dose of Texas hospitality, Lone Star International Film Festival is a welcome recent addition to the circuit of regional festivals and culture of the Texas film. Some fest this year honours:
Best documentary: "sons of perdition," performed by Jennilyn Merten and Tyler Measom; runner-up, "American jihadist", directed by Mark Claywell
Best story: "Miss person," directed by Tim Cox; runner-up, "One Hundred morning," directed by Conor Horgan
Range of short films: "from Ana game," directed by Eric d. Howell and "Terms," directed by Jason LaMotte
