Being nominated for an impressive 18 Animal Kingdom took ten of them including best film, best direction (Michod), best screenplay (Michod), best lead actor (Ben Mendelsohn), best supporting actor (Joel Edgerton) and best main actress (Jacki Weaver).
Weaver today awarded best actress association film critic for the support it augurs well for the Australian veteran resulting in major American prices.
Frankly each of these awards is richly deserved. It's a film worthy of love hell much more fantastic hard that it received on its U.S. release and I imagine you'll see on more than one of our own copies of lists here at Twitch in the next two weeks.
