Cut by Kubrick after release?
Now, I'm curious, because I've never heard of any reduction after the production process was completed, and I am convinced that the version out now is actually the film Stanley Kubrick intended to make.
It would be surprising that the film would explain history as well as Arthur c. Clarke book has (to my astonishment that the novel bed almost as easy as I imagine that a "The Five in space" by Enid Blyton would), but I guess is that it would make the film even more obtuse and long.
Then it's fun too...
Anyway, I look forward to 45th Warner (or 50) if I'm unlucky special Bluray Anniversary Edition. It will be installed inside a monolith of replica and contain two versions of the film as well as documentary finish Trumbull.
Okay, this is wishful thinking on my part, but you know that you would like it!
